Let's just say that sometimes, as great and wonderful a person as I undoubtedly am, I occasionally spend a couple of months blaming one person for something they weren't doing. Alex has been a great sport over it, really. And it's all been settled, and I will never ever ever let anyone borrow my books ever again so long as I live.

Just as soon as I get those books I have lent out back. Yep. While some people might say that someone with as many books as I have wouldn't possibly miss just a few, those people are dirty liars and should be shot at dawn. I collect books specifically so I can read them. They do not just get put on my shelves for the look of things. For a start, I need the storage-space and the estimated 200 books I have -- which is nothing compared to my father's immense collection of nearly 1,000,000 books from across the literary spectrum-- are taking up far too much of it.
