Interestingly enough, did you know that this catchphrase is being bandied around by those who are for the internet filter? It's your typical be-all, end-all response used to further an agenda, whether it's even relevant to children or not. That and Conroy's wonderful conclusion of, if you're against the filter, you are for child porn. Check out the definition of "thought-terminating-cliche"...
Conroy's modus operandi: If you can't answer all the questions, call the questioners supporters of pedophiles. It doesn't even matter if the filter will actually protect kids.
Ah, the 'thought-terminating cliche', full of fun reading on brainwashing. People tend to become more receptive to ideas if couched in a way that concerns the welfare of children, regardless of veracity. I'm sure the person my above response is written to hasn't thought it through that far, but it still doesn't sit with me well to see it used in a similar way.
