Since all the cool kids are doing it.. (Actually the only one I have seen is TekFox..)
25 Things about Me
0. I'm from Newfoundland, Canada. (This one doesn't really count)
1. I often expect more of myself than I should. When I don't hit my goals I beat myself up over it. When I hit my goals I generally don't think much of the accomplishment.
2. I try VERY hard not to apply the same expectations I have for myself (#1) to others.
3. I enjoy working towards a goal more than achieving it.
4. I'm always surprised when people give me compliments. When I blush or otherwise look surprised it's really how I feel.
5. I have a slightly different personality at work than I do otherwise. At work I'm a little less open but way more aggressive when it comes to getting things done. This difference has increased over time.
6. At one point in my life I was homophobic.
7. I nearly joined the Canadian Navy under the officer training plan. As it turns out, my average when I graduated high school was 1 point lower than what they wanted.
8. I don't consider #7 to be a bad thing anymore.
9. Even though I didn't have a high enough average to get into the navy as an officer I managed to score a 2 year scholarship for college.
10. I have dated women. At that time I wondered why I liked girls that were on the more masculine side. (Thin and masculine.. hard to come by).
11. I consider furry to be one of the best things that happened to me. The majority of my circle comes from furry and I have trouble adding new people that I'm not 100% sure are cool with it.
12. I met my BF (Ruka) through the #bigcats channel on the IRC server yiffnet.
13. I love cute things (see my LJ icon for an example).
14. I'm pretty body shy. This is being worked on!
15. I like getting to know new people in small groups. Meeting (and getting to know) people in larger groups is more difficult for me.
16. I find it easy to fall out of contact with people I don't see on a regular basis. It's not that I don't want to stay in contact though! (If you are one of these: IM me!!!)
17. I can think of no better way to spend an evening than laying against a friend and watching a movie. However, I find it hard to initiate contact sometimes.
18. I have a large tiger plush that I sleep with when Ruka isn't around.
19. People I think are hot or cool are hard to talk to when I first meet them.
20. I think about things from others perspective all the time. Often playing what-if scenarios.
21. I'm pretty obsessive. Once I get into something I have trouble turning it off.
22. It's difficult for me to stop thinking about a problem once I start working on it.
23. I can convince myself that I like something even if I don't really like it. I'm so good at this that I'm not sure what things I have talked myself into doing!
24. I care deeply for my friends.
25. I like buying fancy clothes and coloring my hair. I blame A for this.
