I have a lot of ideas. I'm sure a few could be applied to this situation.

My guess would have to be that the captain is going to board up all our rooms one night and then light the ship on fire. By the time we'd manage to shake our door loose, it would be too late.

I think I'll be sleeping out on the deck for the next few nights, how about you?

Then, I would suspect that the captain is using those boards to build her own little world that she can be the god over. She will wittle those boards into the shapes of the crew members and then use some black magic to transfer our souls into the little dolls. Then, once she truly has us all at her command, she will create her own little romance novel that we have to act out as slaves to her little fantasy world.

I should warn you that the captain doesn't like other pretty women getting in the way of her love interests. Your fate as a doll will be a rather messy one.
