I just read chapter 8, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time! Very tense and emotional. I can't wait to see how this struggle against Gant turns out, and I was really happy to see Phoenix in this chapter! (The way you write Phoenix might be one of my top favorite things in the whole fic.) You and your test-reader did great!

You deserve major praise for coming back to a fic after all this time. I don't know anyone else who would pick up an old project like that. I know I wouldn't! Was it the announcement of AA5 that renewed your interest?

Honestly, I got the powerful urge to start writing again. Out of curiosity I went back to read this piece and discovered I had over 120 reviews and was it was listed as a favorite story by 50+ people. Then I googled it and found two fanmade endings and a couple of forums that discussed it very fondly.
It all made me feel very bad that I didn't finish it years ago. :/
