k, here's the deal. I hate zwan. I hate them so much. I adore the smashing pumpkins but corgan's pseudo-happy "spread sunshine like butter on toast" nonsense makes me nauseated. but everyone else seems to love them ( Read more... )

anyway yeah zwan isnt too good .... at all .. actually they kinda suck.... anyway i turn 18 soon ..... im looking at that and im like wow i can buy porn ciggs and lottery tickets ...........

actually, if you think about it, internet porn is so much more easily accessible than going to video king and saying, "hey cute girl behind the counter, I want to rent this porn flick don't think I'm weird." haha.

While I do respect your opinion and can see how one might not like Zwan, what is meant by "psuedo happy"? Billy is a 36 year old who has accomplished much with the Pumpkins and has moved on. It is my understanding that he is quite content with these accomplishments and is happy with his current state. Therefore, the happiness of Zwan's music was a true reflection of Billy's state at the time. He isn't a depressed and angsty kid anymore. You make it sound as if Zwan was his way of selling out. Personally, I think he cares less about sales now than he did as a Pumpkin.

no I don't think zwan was his vehicle to "sell out." I do believe their style varied immensely from that of the pumpkins. I'm not a fan of "happy" music. I just could never understand why all my friends love them so much so I decided to give them a serious listen-to. anyway, it is just my opinion. no harm meant.
