01. What is thesoundroom?
This is a music-sharing community. Posters upload albums or individual songs from all types of genres for our members to download.
02. What do I need to do to view the posts?
You have to join the community in order to see the posts. You can then add the community to have the posts appear on your friends page.
03. Can I post my music here?
The primary posters are the ones listed in the user info. These 12 members will always have posting access to the community.
04. Can I request music as well?
You may request music, but only from the posters who have a "request post" link beside their name in the user info. Please follow each poster's individual rules when requesting music from them.
05. Where is the music uploaded to?
Each poster uploads to a different host. Some of us have our own domains, but most will upload to one of these hosts: sendspace, rapidshare, yousendit, or megaupload.
06. What should I do if I find a broken link?
Let the poster know by leaving a comment in the post with the broken link. It is then up to the poster to decide whether or not they will reupload and replace the link. A way to prevent broken links is to inform the poster what you are downloading from them. This allows for them to track how many uploads have been used if the host has limits on the downloading (such as yousendit).
07. I'm a new member - is there any way I can look through the albums/songs previously uploaded?
Yes. We use the livejournal tag system here. You can browse the tags here to see what has already been posted.
08. Will you affiliate with a non-music sharing community or a website located outside of Livejournal?
We will affiliate with any Livejournal community. Simply leave your community name here and we will add you to our affiliates list. A website outside of Livejournal wishing to affiliate with us needs to be somewhat music related.
09. Where should I direct comments regarding the community itself or to ask something that was not answered here?
You may comment to this post with any other questions/comments. If you feel uncomfortable doing this, you can also email the maintainer here: livewithfeedom@livejournal.com
