Yeah that guy in the background was pretty funny. You know I am not a huge fan of Paris Hilton but that judge sure does seem to have something against her. I read this article in the NY times about how they sent her back to jail and it said that most people for her crime would get house arrest without serving any time in an actual jail. I dont think its too fair to punish her extra just because she is rich and annoying.
Well actually, most people who get a DUI do have to go to jail the first time, including losing their license, and have community service. They get extra for breaking probation, which she did twice- hence 45 days. I think the judge was very fair, especially given that she's tried everything she could to get out of it by using daddy's money.
If she'd just bitten the bullet this would probably be all over by now and she would have been released on good behavior.
True most people go to jail the first time but the news report I read states that most people get house arrest for a DUI due to overcrowding in the LA jail. I dont think the judge is being fair at all really - I mean they as much admited they were making an example out of her because she is a 'role model'. Plus because she is famous she was getting all these death threats saying people would kill her in jail - I just dont see what the big deal is if she gets house arrest over solitary confinement. Like I said - I am not a Paris Hilton fan but I really think she is getting the shaft because of who she is and thats just not fair.
