Well, I have to change the poor puppy's name again. My brother's friend informed me that "suka" also means "bitch" in Russian, and yes, I know that she is technically a female dog, but I don't want people to think I'm a jerk, and I don't want to give her a name with negative connotations. I know everyone says this, but...
My dog is a freaking genius. After four days, she sits on command, goes potty on command, goes to the back door to be let out when she has to go (or whines if she's in her crate), and has pretty good recall off leash. All this from an eight week old puppy that I've had for under a week, who had absolutely no training before and was not even ( Read more... ) -
Very Serious Post
So now comes the serious part - thinking up names for Puppy!
My mom is encouraging me to name him (or her...likely him) after a gun, since our last border collie's name was Ruger.
So far we have 9 Millimeter Mauser (Mauser for short) and Colt .45 (Colt for short).
If anyone has brilliant ideas to contribute, input is appreciated! -

So adopting a dog is the hardest effing thing ever when people won't return calls or emails, won't give any information, and leave up old information on dogs that have long since been adopted. Bloody hell. Then there's the ones that require a home visit, personal information that has no relevance to the situation, another home visit in a year, ( Read more... )
