F-List

So, I've barely had any time to spend on LJ.  Work day's are busy and I don't have a home PC.  If I'm to continue enjoying digital space here on LJ, I've decided that it's time to narrow down my friends' list to only include people I know personally or have known online for many years ( Read more... )

Me, too- unless this is the notice for people not on the list.......please tell me if I'm still in the cool kids group! (Yes, I am pathetic. I've also been practicing the Frozen Swede* form of passive-aggressiveness, but it's a challenge for us volatile French-types). Here's an example: Don't worry about me- I'm fine with your decision, however it may impact my fragile emotional state of mind. I'll just find another fascinating, enchantingly quirky blogger to stalk.....I mean, befriend. Maybe this one I'll actually get to meet in real life! ;-)

(I'm a FS by marriage).

That sounds so awful! thespice December 7 2007, 21:04:06 UTC
"Made the cut."

To be honest, the people who were left off were mostly lovely people I met online through LJ from fandoms like Potter and Carnivale. And though I very much enjoyed our exchanges, if I'm to be more personal here again, I want to be sharing with people I know, ya know. And we know each other, after a fashion. [smile].

I can understand wanting to gain more time for yourself. And ugh on you having to use MySpace and Facebook for work. I'm on Facebook, but hardly ever log in.

You're *required* to use MySpace for work? The "I've-had-my-profile-hacked-three-times-in four-months" waste of internet resources MySpace? The site that made Tia Tequila and Chris Crocker famous for being maladjusted morons? That MySpace? That just... well, it sucks, frankly.

And I'm sorry you have to pull back on the personal stuff. I always got the feeling that putting that out there was empowering for you.

Anyway, hope things are going well for you otherwise, and you're enjoying the holiday season. And hope to see you in the New Year.

Not empowering or weakening. thespice December 7 2007, 21:05:50 UTC
I just realize that I do tend to be rather blabby and honest about myself on the Internet, without giving enough thought to my "audience", and there are some things I'd like to share more selectively, you know?
