Last night after the (lightly attended) show, we had an "after-party" at a local alehouse. It was supposed to be for the Young Professionals group in town, but since none of them actually took advantage of the discount tickets we offered, it became a cast party with Board members and staff ( Read more... )

If she voided it out, it's no big deal - and an easy mistake. They don't know how the back end of their systems work, so think that when they "void" it it disappears.

I had dozens of customers when I worked in retail banking customer service who'd freak out about restaurant screwups that never actually affected them, so I tend to take the long view and wait 'till it makes a difference.

Actually - if you report it to the bank as fraud, I believe you'll get an immediate credit for the charge while it is pending investigation...

My bank requires me to make at least a "good faith" effort to have the merchant correct the issue - I know this because I told lots and lots of folks to do so. And when it's not fraud but an error, it takes forever to do it from the bank's side.
