Yes...it's the afternoon now. But somehow this didn't post the first time. So, pretend it's from a just-caffeinated mind.

I don't do tricksy polls.

Don't they all say that?

This surprised me. I had thought for the longest, that a double period is standard, but after several scripts and scriptwriting reference books, found it is just not done anymore. Damned hard to get used to, though.

Uh-huh. Our Development and Marketing Director is a single-space gal, I'm a double-space boy. We've had actual fights over it when copy-editing together.

I haven't even tried. I do the double space all the time and the last thing I do before I submit to my publisher is a universal search and replace to 'correct' them. :))

The correct answer is nay. I'm slowwwwwwwly adjusting to it.

I still haven't adjusted to it. Thankfully, the people I work for are older than I am and insist on old school.

After reading the other comments here: interesting.

I was always taught double space after period. I still use that in "regular" writing. In text messaging I always just do one space, because that generally gives me one or two more words at the end.

Do you double-space after every sentence ending mark? Do you double-space after periods that appear mid-sentence (ie Geoffrey Q. Bleeker) or (ie i. e. )?
