Going down to TN tomorrow to look at cabins. It'll be the first time Jeanne's ever been to Gatlinburg, so we might head downtown and see what's there. Also, we'll get to see my step-sister's new baby for the first time whose name I am totally forgetting right now. I think it's William

As cool as it would be to have you a mere state away (and yeah, you were a mere state away before, but it was Miami, which was more like three countries away, and Tennessee is more like... an uppity cousin to Alabama), I say go northwest. If only because it's where I've wanted to go for years, but he magnet draw of doom has kept me here.

Portland is the way to go for open-minded broke people.

for a second i got kind of pumped because i was like WOO ASHEVILLE THAT ISN'T FAR FROM ATLANTA REALLY !! and then i remembered that i don't live in atlanta anymore. being in proverbial limbo sucks.

but, i hope you enjoy beautiful tennessee. i have an excellent smokey mtns tshirt from gatlinburg. it's probably in a box somewhere.
