just an update for some people
To the University Community:
I am deeply saddened to announce that Matthew Crick, a sophomore from Middlebury, Connecticut, died at home on Monday. Matt was a part-time, nonresidential student in the School of Arts and Sciences who formerly lived in Centennial Hall. A family spokesman has told us that Matt has struggled for some time with depression and took his own life.
Staff from the WCSU Counseling Center will provide free counseling services to students who knew Matt or who wish to learn more about depression. A memorial service will be held on campus this week and as details are finalized, we will make an announcement about the time and location.
The Counseling Center is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and evenings by appointment at (203) 837-8690. For assistance 24/7, please call the Danbury Crisis Intervention Hotline at (888) 447-3339. Please join me in keeping Matt, his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.
