I'm submitting an abstract to this place:
http://harmreduction.org/ They having their national convention in Portland! So I'm working with someone on an intervention to increase hope and resilience in outdoor sex workers, and we're submitting an abstract to the convention. They accept from everyone, so it's not peer-reviewed, but it's a start.
Also, I now have a health column in a online sex worker newsletter: "Health Tips From Nurse Thessaliad", but I use my RL first name.
The theme was male sex workers, both cis- and transmen, so I wrote some things about safer sex for both, brands of water-based lubricants, and about not using condoms lubricated with nonoxynol-9, and links to useful sites for transmen.
On using real names, most of the people in our group use their worker name, and not their private name, as they are at the meeting in their capacity of sex worker. I am there in my professional capacity as a nurse, so I prefer to use my professional name, which is my real unmarried name.
Turned in my paper on hope as a nursing concept, and am working on my sex worker literature review paper--that's due in two weeks.
I'm supposed to work on my practicum for health policy, but the preceptor is dragging her feeties. Grrr.
