Another revolution, probably. It bothers me to think it, but with as extreme as everything is getting AND gimping our power over the internet, there may not be any other recourse--especially not with politicians acting like they're untouchable and unaccountable.

And the point in all this is what? I'm sorry, but it feels so deeply like corporations are screaming in dollar signs. We've devolved to oligarchy. Plato...where are you when we need you...?

I am also sick of hearing about that SOPA/PIPA shit. They're gonna do what they want anyway, and someone's always gonna be pissed off about it, so why should I bother caring? And really, if it DOES pass, are Reddit, BoingBoing, and 4chan THAT big of a loss?

If those sites are eliminated then, yes, I will be very disappointed at the end of free speech on the Internet. Because that's what it would mean.

If those sites shut down because nobody cared or went there, no big deal. But if they shut down because of government action, many other sites would also be getting shut down.
