Motivated by mrliburyin, I peeked through the deck to check on the bird's nest. This is what I saw! They're big-eyed, pink, and barely feathered.

Yeah! More baby birds from another planet. Any idea what planet they are from? Or what kind of birds they are, for that matter.

Well, I'm not good with bird identification. Only obvious ones. I do believe they are orioles. The nest warmer has an orange chest/stomach and black wings. I'll take a pic if I can and post it this week.

I was trying to get a movie of the bird flying back to the nest after I backed away but it just kept watch from the fence.

I say "it" and "nest warmer" because I thought only the male orioles have the orange chest and the females are less flashy but perhaps I'm wrong.
