In the last 5 years I've gone from web social to web hermit. It looks like a lot of my friends have too. Cedric and I are the last of a dying breed. Early adopters.
Yeah, I figured a way out to rig this so that I continue to use LJ and it just posts to FB, so I don't have to deal with FB anymore. Plus, I can LJ at work, but I cannot access Facebook, so...
But, yeah, I still like LJ. I've hermitised on the web as well, but part of that is due to the natural lifecycle of things, I think. Do we really need web friends? Or should we just nurture real relationships.
That said, this is a much better way to stay in touch with people I don't see in meat-space due to life/schedule/geography conflicts.
