Characters: Laura Kinney and open Location: The city streets, somewhere vague Planet: Coruscant When: Thursday night What: Exploring! Rating: Uhmmm... PG?
[The libraries on this planet were ... daunting to say the least. They also were not the only avenues for collecting information, at least not if you were an occasionally nosy telepath.
When his ass was ready to go to sleep from sitting for hours in the library, Charles figured a little leg work research wouldn't be amiss, so he'd found his coat and headed out onto the streets. He didn't have any specific destination in mind, the idea was simply to walk about and 'listen' in on whatever tidbits caught his attention.
Head down, hands in the pockets of his coat, he made a fairly unassuming figure as he wove his way through the incredibly varied crowd of humanoids and other sentient beings. This place really was a rich treasure trove of genetic diversity and Charles was briefly distracted by a Twi'lek.
[Laura is also distracted by that Twi'lek, for actual scientific purposes. She's wondering what those tendrils are for. Probably unlike Charles, she's staring pretty openly.]
[Of course she doesn't recognize him. How could she? He smells oddly familiar, though, and that gives her pause. She's peering at him a little more closely than is strictly necessary.]
[Unfortunately, she is an unknown element to him, though he does return the regard, trying to assess if she is a native to Coruscant or a kidnappee like himself. The question is keen enough to have him attempting to read her, just at the surface.]
Wasn't watching where I was going. Are you all right then?
[Oh but her reaction to this is refreshing and Charles feels himself relax when she doesn't look at him as if expecting to see some saint. He smiles and offers her his elbow, just as he would Raven, nodding towards the street.]
Shall we walk and talk? I've just arrived a couple of days ago and am in the midst of exploring.
[His expression indicates he doesn't believe he's alone in this?]

Completely for scientific purposes; honest!]

Luckily he gets his eyes back in his head before he plows right into Laura.]

Who are you?

Charles Xavier.
[He holds out a hand to her.]

God this is weird.
After a long, pretty awkward pause, she finally shakes his hand.]
I am Laura.

Its a pleasure to meet you, Laura. Have you been here long?

[How does she say this without sounding creepy...]
I know you.
[NOT LIKE THAT.]

Let me hazard a guess here, you know 'Professor'?

[He takes a long breath, looking away for a moment before bringing his eyes back to her.]
You're best bet, it would seem, is to think of me at this point, as Charles. I fear I have a way to go before I live up to the 'Professor'.

Okay.
[Even if she doesn't care that he isn't the professor she knows, this is still a bit weird.]
