[ Whenever there's an experiment, it always seems like Lightning gets a few days to contemplate the rest of the village going mad before anything happens to her too, doesn't it? It's not very amusing to her at all, especially considering she's spent the last few days fretting and waiting. She's been trying to stay out of trouble, but ( Read more... )

[Sokka is mostly gaping at her, sometimes looking up at the sky to try to figure out what exactly is so horrible about it. Currently he's dressed up as a typical peasant, but an armed peasant. He has giants to kill.]

... nice costume.

Ah--

[ Wait, what. She glances down as she slows, frowning at her strange get-up for several drawn out moments, brow coming together in clear agitation... but then looks back at him and straightens up once more. She laces her hands together in front of her. ]

Good day, Sokka-Lokka.

[... Sokka... Lokka...?]

If that's some weird world formality thing? Pass. Just Sokka is fine. Do I know you?

[ At that she grits her teeth, almost seeming pained as she does so- what did she just say? But this... this is so important, ohmygosh. Whatever it is. She shakes her head just barely, but then continues on despite her rising confusion: ]

We... we have to go. To see the king.

[This lost boy finally found his way back to the village again, and he was dead-beat tired. Ryoga still had plenty of energy to work with though.]

W-where am I?

Stop! Hey!

[ -- Okay, so he's not really moving that fast, but. Still. Lightning skids into a halt beside him, and without any more preamble than that, reaches out to grab his wrist and start trying to drag him along with her. ]

Come on-- we don't have much time.

[This was growing progressively more confusing.]

Much time for what? Where are going?

The sky is falling, we have to see the king!

[ And not only does she have one hand around his wrist, but she reaches back with the other to put it on his shoulder as well. Basically, he's coming whether he likes it or not! ]

[What....?] Are you alright, Miss....?

[ Does she look alright?? The look on her face certainly doesn't say so... or her get-up, which is currently trailing quite a few small feathers as she trots up. Did she rob a pillow or something...? ]

The world is ending!

[ Yeah, definitely not alright. ]

.....I doubt it's ending, miss.

Luceti might be a confusing place but I think we would know, would we not?

I do know!

[ Her frustration is highly evident as she draws even with him, her back straight and chin lifted to look down her nose at him. Seriously- does she look like the kind of woman who would freak the hell out if there wasn't something awful going on?? ]

[Erza had been sleeping under a tree - being a dragon is tiring work, after all - when she hears someone panicking. She's dressed like this, but with wings on the back, which is a particularly awkward outfit to fall asleep in, but she's managed. Still, she doesn't appreciate being woken up so soon.]

Who dares to interrupt my slumber?

-- Ah!

[ Lightning freezes in place, staring wide-eyed at this... this... is that a dragon? Ohgeezshe'sreallydoneitthistime. That is not the person she thought to warn about Luceti's impending doom! ]

I ah... um...

Well? Speak! I do not -- [Erza interrupts her own over-dramatic posturing with a yawn - she must be sleepier than she thought.] I do not have all day!

I was just-- d-dragon...

[ -- Fsuagfdk, why is she stuttering and frightened by something like this? After all the things she's fought and come out on top of? After fighting Jack as an actual dragon?

But she can hardly keep from shaking anyway, and bites her lip in varied agitation as she puts her hands in front of herself defensively. She just... needs to explain herself, right? ]

The sky is fa-falling, sso...

[One particularly-floofy princess, oblivious to the fallingness of the sky, is busy delicately watering a few pretty little flowers he just oh-so-lovingly planted along the edges of the village square. There is a veritable butterfly brigade flitting around his lace-gloved hands as he does so.

... Clearly this helpless, distracted princess needs to be warned about the sky right away. He'd be completely crushed. He's not even looking up, the poor dear!]

[ And so a warning he shall get. ]

Robby-Lobby!

[ Did she really just-- yes, yes she did. She skids to a stop beside him... stares for a long moment at his clothing... but then continues onward with transparent urgency in every bit of her body language and voice. ]

Stop what you're doing!

[Well, that's... quite the warning.

Indeed, Robert glances up, causing that dress - more like a pile of lace and satin than a dress, really - to rustle all over the place as he faces the rather panicky, feathery Lightning.]

Ah... Sergeant Farron...? [His awkwardness around her punches through the haze of flouncy princess long enough for him to blink at her costume a moment - just before she tells him to stop. Then it's back to Disney mode.]

But whyever for? The poor, dear butterflies will be so hungry...

[One particularly vibrant tiger longwing alights on his puffy shoulder as he says this.]

[ She gives a slight bow, clearly an afterthought but meant to make up for forgetting to show due respect to a princess earlier. This is too important for wasting much more time on formalities, though! ]

You have to help me- I need to see the king right away.
