The pain and the suffering

Well, I finally did it....those words are exciting for me to say.  I finally FINISHED the Incline. Hey! I left an entry and an e-mail for you today. I envy you and all the nature you get to explore out there. I went on a walk today. There is a woodsy perhaps nature preserve behind my house. I hopped my fence to get back there but could not get into the woods for all the thorny thisles. So I walked around the block and behind the houses keeping my eye on the woodsy tops of the trees and trying to figure out how in the world you get back in there because all the houses and fences seemed to block it off. Finally I asked a man walking his dog how to get there. He didn't understand but finally I understood from him that I was on the right street I just needed to walk a few hundred feet more and I could see the woods and the Econ River ( ... )

Especially appropriate considering the name of the mountain - Manitou is the Algonquian people's name for God, used by missionaries (eventually) to spread the gospel. Gitchi (or Gitche) Manitou is the Algonquian name for the Creator.

Fortunately...no mistrels were eaten during the naming of the mountain. º¿ô
