Which ones? I read The Flatshare and I've just started with A Tree Grows in Brooklyn If you read more than one, did you enjoy them? What was your favorite? Yes if you're into Jojo Moyes -type of books Did you read anything else this month, outside of your chosen books? I read The Fall Of Gondolin by J.R.R. Tolkien and L.A. Confidential by James Ellroy
Who was your buddy this month? copulates What books were chosen for you? "It ends with us" by Colleen Hoover, "Allegedly" by Tiffany D. Jackson and "A Million Things" by Emily Spurr. Did you manage to read your books? Which ones? I finished the latter two. If you read more than one, did you enjoy them? What was your favorite? "Allegedly" was a bit of a mixed bag, feeling-wise. While it was an intriguing plot, I had trouble connecting. "A Million Things", on the other hand, really tugged at my heartstrings. I heeded the advice of many dog lovers and skipped Day 48 … Day 49 gave a gist of what happened and it was heartbreaking enough without the blow-by-blow description. This was a book that kept me thinking about the characters a long time after finishing… Would you recommend your chosen book(s)? Yes to Emily Spurr's debut novel! Did you read anything else this month, outside of your chosen books? Not nearly as many as in January, but still enough. ☛ "Todesmärchen" and "Todesreigen" by Andreas Gruber ☛ "The Lost Village" by Camilla Sten (

Who was your buddy this month? unbound_ophelia What books were chosen for you? Little Beach Street Bakery by Jenny Colgan, Persuasion by Jane Austen, The Moon Sister by Lucinda Riley Did you manage to read your books? Which ones? I only managed to read The Moon Sister by Lucinda Riley. If you read more than one, did you enjoy them? What was your favorite? n/a Would you recommend your chosen book(s)? Yes, I would. The Seven Sisters series is great and this book is no exception. Tiggy is such a great character and I loved learning about her and her past. And as always, I have a lot of questions about Pa Salt and I can't wait to find out more. Did you read anything else this month, outside of your chosen books? Due to more work hours (but yay!), I only managed to read one other book The Pillars of Earth by Ken Follett (but it's quite a long book, too)
I am glad you liked "The Moon Sister"! I am even more inclined to give the series a try now, since another friend of mine and my mother both like them as well :)
Props for finishing "The Pillars Of Earth" too. I started reading it a few years ago but DNFed...it just didn't capture my attention enough to stay with such a long book. I might give it another try one day.
The Seven Sisters series is really good! I've seen everywhere before I started reading it, but I wasn't sure I'd like it. I gave the first book a try, and I finished it in a couple of days because the writing and the stories are just great! I can only recommend it.
I can't say I almost DNFed it, but I wasn't sure I would complete it due to my work hours last month, but I actually listened to the second half of it while working, and it worked that way for me. Maybe give the audiobook a try. I know that I listened to the french one, and the narrator helped me get really into it.
Who was your buddy this month? vickysg1 What books were chosen for you? Choice 1: The Two Lives of Lydia Bird by Josie Silver (Romance/Female Author) Choice 2: The Lying Life of Adults by Elena Ferrante (Contemporary/Female Author) Choice 3: Letters to the Lost by Iona Grey (Female Author)
Did you manage to read your books? Which ones? I read "The Two Lives of Lydia Bird" and "Letters to the Lost". I started reading "The Lying Life of Adults" a couple days ago but I certainly won't be able to finish it today. If you read more than one, did you enjoy them? What was your favorite? I loved "Lydia Bird", it was a very sweet book, even if the ending was a little predictable. As for "Letters to the Lost", I didn't like that very much. Maybe romance novels just aren't for me anymore, but it felt very cliché and a lot of the sexual/romantic scenes were uncomfortable because they were of the "hurr hurr woman doesn't want sex but man 'persuades' her because inside she really wants it hurr hurr" kind D:

Who was your buddy this month? kirstennnnnn What books were chosen for you? These Witches Don't Burn by Isabel Sterling, All That We Carried by Erin Bartels, The Duke and I by Julia Quinn Did you manage to read your books? Which ones? I only managed to read These Witches Don't Burn, but I really enjoyed it. If you read more than one, did you enjoy them? What was your favorite? I did like the one I got to read. Would you recommend your chosen book(s)? Definitely. It's a mix of traditional witch stories, but with a modern sort of twist. Did you read anything else this month, outside of your chosen books? Yes! Behind the Lie by Emiliya Naymark and Such a Pretty Smile by Kristi DeMeester. Both really good books.
