I just got asked by a professor if I am the type of person who always needs to be with someone. (meaning romantically). Because it seems to him i am always with someone. I never thought i was like that....but maybe i am....

This is depressing me horribly.

If anyone is that person, it's probably me. I don't like to think about it, either. And I don't think it's true. You just have long relationships. And you didn't start dating until later in high school. Don't let it get to you, too much.

Well. I wouldn't let it depress you at all, whether he's right or not. First, you need to stop and think about what's best for you. If you're the kind of person who needs to be with someone and that works for you, then it's great...don't overthink it. Everyone has his/her own needs, you know? If you're not that kind of person or don't want to be...and think that maybe you're being that way, his pointing it out might be good for you. If you didn't realize you were doing something, and you'd rather not do it...it often takes someone outside to point that out for us. Can't see the forest through the trees, as they say. And now that it has been pointed out, you can take it as your opportunity to step back and figure yourself out...take some you-time as it were ( ... )
