Something that I am slowly learning is that knowing the picture in advance... be it our future husband, or other future plans, really takes the beauty and the magic out of the moment. It's a completely natural thing to desire- to desire things in our lives and to desire to know when they are going to come- but the beauty of it comes when we can refocus that desire toward God and find contentment in just watching the picture being painted as your saying and being in love with Him... enjoying each little stroke of the brush because the little things going on right now are just as much a part of what He has in store for you as the completed picture at the end :)
