Sunday: Old-fashioned letter. (Nicholas)
The letter is addressed to comictragedies's Topher Young.
Dear Topher,
Hi. It's Nick.
I'm guessing you don't really want to get this letter, since you deleted your email account. And I get it. It's cool. I'd want to forget me, too.
I just miss you wanted to say sorry. For everything. For leaving so damn much. You're the best friend I ever ever had, and honestly, you deserve better. So I hope you're out there, finding something better. A better job (let's face it, Walmart's for people like me, not you), better friends... better everything. There's even a girl out there somewhere who isn't crazy who's totally deserving of your love, I know it. So I hope you find her. And everything will be great. You deserve a happy life.
So just... thanks for being my friend. I really appreciated it, even if I couldn't keep from fucking it up, either.
It's way selfish, but I do wish you'd visit. Just once. You can tell me what a loser I am if you want to. I'm sure you know I got caught trying to make it back to your place. You're smart like that. So. Yeah.
But you don't have to. You don't even have to write back. It'd just be nice. There is, unsurprisingly, no one in this place who understands me like you did.
I guess that's it, really. So just thanks again, and I'm sorry again. Spit in Harrison's coffee for me when you hand in your resignation when you've got some badass teaching position, or like the translating job for a Japanese ninja or something.

The bottom of the letter includes an illustration in black ink of a cartoon caricature of Topher standing by and smoking while a ninja holds someone by the neck. The word bubble above Topher's head reads, "He says, 'Kiss your ass goodbye, motherfucker.' I'd suggest you do it, too, I was a ninja once myself, and your future ain't looking bright."
