Athena has been put to bed with Morvydd to protect her--Telemakos does not normally leave her when he goes somewhere, but it's getting on in the evening, and besides he wants to see his grandmother, and he doesn't much want her to spend a lot of time in proximity with his sister

He does, opening the door and slipping inside, and shutting it and leaning against it; Sagramore does the same thing.
