As Star Wars Episode V is running on the tellie, I can't help but feel I should clarify what I found lacking with Avatar.

Yeah, it was as pretty as I expected, and about as deep as a puddle. A Star Wars for the 21st century, so to speak. Except it had much higher budget. Cameron's attention to detail was evident as usual, as was his haphazard ability to allocate meaningful motivations to characters. Black and white in the extreme, the plot had few redeeming features. With many people, CoD:MW2 doesn't require an introduction. In brief, it's a first person shooter game in the popular and entertaining Call of Duty series. On the MacBook Pro presently in my possession there are a number of tools for blogging and the like. I'm trying some of them out, but so far it's hard to beat the basic text editor and web interface. Especially since the built in editors in most tools make the browser text box seem like a polished work of usability engineering ( Read more... )

The headaches remain, to some extent. Got new glasses and they improved the situation a lot. I found out that I have a "max" of 1.5 on a scale topping at 1.5 (at least in the tests they had). This means my eyes have high resolution - which would be a good thing if it wasn't for that it makes me very sensitive to errors in vision ( Read more... )
