Character(s): Kamui and anyone who decides to bother him pop in Content: Kamui. Being semi-angsty. What else is new? Setting: Cheap Prayer, kitchen area Time: Sunday morning Warnings: None at the moment
The kitchen was the last place Hinamori should have been heading, really. She'd gotten used to the ship, yes... but dealing with it while it was moving was a whole different matter altogether. She hadn't really felt like hanging over the edge, and it wasn't like there was... well...
It wouldn't be as messy anymore, anyway. And it would be less likely to happen, in any case...
Well. She decided that she should at least attempt to be social, in any case, and most people were likely to congregate in the kitchen. Besides, she couldn't actually SEE the waves from there, and- there was already someone there!
Well, that was lucky.
"Hello!" said Hinamori cheerfully, trying to appear as though she had been completely fine.
Though he had been expecting someone to show up quickly enough, he had not really been expecting the figure before him. Kamui had barely seen the girl more than a few times while on the ship- seeing as she was quite hard to miss with her small stature. She had been easy to forget with the many more imposing figures on the vessel, so it took him a moment to even recall if she was supposed to be on the ship.
"Hn." He replied in a less than welcoming reply, barely glancing over to look at her. Though he wasn't busy with anything, he wasn't in a talking mood. But then again- he was rarely ever in a talking mood.
Hinamori had seen the young man before as well, but she had never really gotten to talk to him. He seemed rather distant, really... but! It was best to get to know the other people on the ship.
...if he said anything, that is.
"Um, I've seen you around, but I never really got to know your name..." said Hinamori, attempting to start a conversation. "Um, my name's Hinamori Momo. It's nice to meet you!"
Well she looked to be rather talkative. Not that he hadn't begun to get used to that, since there were several people on board who had come off as very chatty. But he supposed that he was going to have to get used to it- at least until they found Subaru. Then they were gone- as even staying on one form of transportation for too long was a bad idea. Especially when you were being hunted by Him.
"... Kamui Sumeragi." He answered quietly after several moments of slightly awkward silence, saying nothing after that to help continue the conversation.
Hokuto had been busily placing the sheets of scribbled paper on which she had written various recipes in the right boxes. She is not exactly the most organized of people, so the job had taken quite some time. Seafood, dishes with chicken, dishes with lots of meat, dishes with lots of eggs, breakfast things, cookies, and others. There will always be an 'others' because that is where Hokuto puts away all the things she is too lazy to categorize.
This might take quite some time to do and already her stomach is grumbling for food. She did wake up quite early today, but if she is getting hungry then the crew must be too. With a bored yawn and stretched limbs, Hokuto hops away from her little corner in her room to make her way to the kitchen nearby.
Catching snippets of conversation from the kitchen, Hokuto decides to wait outside the door for a moment before entering. It sounds like Kamui. Bending over and placing her ear against the wooden door of the kitchen. She winces a little when Kamui spoke suddenly, I wasn't planning to in the

((OOC: That's fine~ And sorry I took forever to update this, school at me alive DX))
Kamui had been considering politely excusing himself at that moment to go somewhere else, when the person he had been avoiding in the first place appeared. He had been caugth slightly off guard, seeing as he had been more focused on the conversation than watching the door to the kitchen for any new arrivals into the room.
Letting himself be lead along, he rather placidly sat down at the table. He mumbled something along the lines 'Mm'hm' in response to food, and proceeded to sit there looking rather awkward.
Hinamori was jarred out of her thoughts by the new arrival. Turning to the door, she smiled at the cook.
"Hi, Hokuto-san!" she said. She figured that this was the cook, even though they had only really talked over the journals- but the personality was the same. At the mention of food, Hinamori's smile faltered slightly. She didn't want to hurt any feelings, but...
"Um... I'm not all that hungry, actually. I just feel like getting to know people on the ship."
"HI!" Hokuto shouts to Momo while bustling about the kitchen. Haruhi doesn't seem to be here yet, but Hokuto doesn't mind, a Japanese breakfast shouldn't be that hard to make. "Getting to know people is good, but you still have to eat breakfast!" Hokuto scolds Momo while measuring the water to cook the rice with. "I'll call you guys once it's done!" She tells Momo.
While Hokuto doesn't mind Momo's company at all, she is rather glad to have a moment alone with Kamui. Her twin brother doesn't seem all that enthusiastic about meeting her again, but Hokuto knows that Kamui has never been one to show his emotions freely. Besides, she misses him a lot and whether or not the feeling is mutual, Hokuto is glad to be reunited with Kamui again.
"Drink this first alright?" Hokuto places a cup of tea in front of Kamui and ruffles his hair fondly. She makes sure to prepare all the vegetables first, waiting until Momo leaves before she will handle the meat. There is something she must do that no one should see except for Kamui.
