The ocean was a marvelous thing... for a while. Malik Ishtar was learning the joys of the ocean. Mainly, the glorious view that he could get of it while constantly hanging his head over the railing and vomiting whatever was left in his stomach. Which, by now, was hardly anything. He was rather glad that there was a small part of the deck that was hidden from plain view. Despite the physical urgings of his stomach he would not have even considered being sick out there in the middle of the deck.
By the time the sun had set, his body had either decided this was a losing battle and had given up, or he had adjusted better. Either way, the blonde Egyptian cautiously stood up straighter, hands still tightly wrapped around the deck railing. He swallowed, a vague attempt to clear his mouth of that disgusting taste. Unfortunately, the acid pervaded, causing him to pull a bit of a face.
For the first time on this ship, he was struck with the oddness of it all. Him, on this ship. By himself. And it was the latter that really hit him. There was a brief surge of elation, and something else.
