For once, Zexion was thrilled with something. Well, not thrilled, but he was slightly less than indifferent, which made a world of a difference in the book of the shadow-walking tactician. Panama was a place that was not unfamiliar to Zexion- being of latin descent (or at least half), and being fluent in Spanish, it was easy for him to work his way around the city and find the most interesting spots according to the locals.

This led him the resident magic shop, at the dead-end of some road in the village they had landed near, beyond it simply jungle. It was obvious the place used to be a house, and a very old one, he observed, walking up the thin and bent rickety steps onto the porch. The building was painted an aged black, paint peeling to reveal the original color of the house had been light blue. There were crude white and black symbols and decorations painted all over the house, obviously not professionally done- truth be told, the place looked like some sort of voodoo practitioner's shack. Perhaps that was what had attracted the man to it; it reminded him of home.

The door was covered in words. Words in Latin, some sort of ancient chant that had been used ages ago. Zexion, himself, was not familiar with it, but it's presence made him smile, and chuckle at the natives. Where wind chimes might have hung anywhere else, there were dream-catchers and feathers, dolls of some sort and wooden skeletons on either side- dangling and clanking together gently in the wind. They swung from the awning of the porch, under which were placed old and broken plastic lawn chairs, and folded tables, covered in gaudy tablecloths with small hand-woven baskets of small fetishes.

Zexion's eye was caught by one of these, and so he stepped up to a table, half-smiling as his bony fingers dug into the basket, sifting through the tiny carved stones for something that he might purchase.
