I've been reading The Last Psychiatrist's blog for a while now. He (she?) was curious about whether the moon cycles really do affect people's craziness and searched for studies and statistics done. After citing them and boring statistics, he concluded something that I think makes better sense

This reminds me of all the tales that more babies are born on full moons, or that doctors/nurses report ERs to be busier during full moons; when the numbers are tallied up it's not true, but confirmation bias is strong. I imagine the above quote about prey animals only applies to clear nights, but adding in the variable of weather would be very interesting indeed!
