A shame, because I find Quizno's to be a VASTLY superior product to Subway. Quizno's meats and breads didn't look like mass-produced garbage; Subway's bread is routinely flattened and small, their meats looking like Oscar Meyer products. I was willing to pay a slightly higher price for their better product. Sadly, Subway is a better marketer. They took the McDonald's business model and ran with it, and it's worked.

Honestly, both chains had ads that filled me with rage, although for entirely different reasons. Quizno's backed some extremely strange ad campaigns. Subway's are just really annoying.

At least Quizno's ad campaigns, weird as they were, were memorable. The Spongmonkeys? Love 'em or hate 'em, you remember the campaign. That's a success the way I see it.

The two I've gone to recently have both disappeared - Boston Government Center and Arlington Center.

major sub chains such as Subway, Potbelly Sandwich Works, and Jimmy Johns
Subway is obviously familiar to everyone (they're bigger than McDonalds now), but I've never heard of the other two.

I've seen Potbelly's in the DC area (and I think Memphis as well), and a Jimmy John's recently moved into Louisiana. That's all I know.
