So work has suspended me for 3 days without pay over a bogus reason.  Basically they are just trying to make life so miserable that I leave. That is the general consensus from everyone I have talked to. I am spending these three days without pay looking for a new job. i would prefer a job like receptionist or secretary. Try something like one of those, or do a search for staffing services in Atlanta. Most of them don't charge you (stay away from any that do), because they make their money by placing you somewhere. They have a strong incentive to find you a job, since that's the only way they make money. I got my first job through a staffing service. It shouldn't replace your own search, of course, but it can certainly supplement it.

You could maybe do temp work that would lead to a steady job. That's what I did at GA Temp a couple of years ago. They work specifically for GP and GP's clients and, at least when I worked for them, I could work everyday if I wanted to. They eventually got me a temp to perm position as a receptionist at another business, which I then kept for two years.

I live in Norcross. I am not opposed to long commutes but pay would have to be higher to afford gas.
