What he was doing out on the beach in the wee hours of the morning, Kon wasn't sure. Maybe it was just that he was feeling guilty for letting Cassie down about the date or still weird over the fact that she was a he and his two best friends were shes. Or maybe he just wanted to go on a midnight swim. When he came back, he was wet, a little salty, but in a better mood.

And then he saw Cassie, clearly not walking in a straight line and giggling.

"Cass?" he called hesitantly. "Everything okay?" He picked up his pace to go meet her.

Kon stared. Cassie couldn't be…but clearly she was. "Hey, Cassie." Drunk. Wonderful. He moved closer, slipping an arm around her waist, ignoring completely for the moment that she was a guy. It was Cassie and he could smell the alcohol on her breath. "Let's get you home, huh?"

Cassie'd been on her way home, she knew that. But now that she'd found Kon, she didn't want to go home. She wanted to stay here with him. Things were so much better with him. She shook her head. "No, I don't want to go home. Let's stay here." She wiggled against his grip on her waist, wanting to be let go.
