Did you get new equipment lately? Did you start mixing on a computer?

nope. it's a pretty roundabout way of doing things, but basically, i cut up 'we own the sky' for the wayne verses, exported the instrumental to my MP3 player, plugged the MP3 player into my mixer, then played the acapella over it. i have no idea how to layer vocals over an instrumental in time on a computer, so i just did it this way. pretty weird, but whatever.

that kind of "workaround" is what's going to make working with computer music software incredibly easy for you, i'd think. the songs aren't exactly my cup of tea (more the m83 than the lil wayne a cappella, which would sound great over just about anything) but the track definitely "works" in a very, very good way.
