Yeah. Truly sad... but then again. Funerals are sometimes also seen as a celebration of the life that the person once had before he/she died. It's really all a matter of moving on actually. You just have to get past that mourning phase and all. ^_^

They say it was a strange funeral, as his old friends laughed and chortled to jokes even though some of them insisted - though half-seriously - on the somberness of the event.

But yet they laughed. And laughed.

For it is the living who can truly appreciate the strangeness of such experiences.

Wow. I never knew my words can have such an effect on people. ^_^ And I guess this serves as a compliment to both of us. I thought your prose came from an actual work of fiction like Gaiman's or Watchmen or something. ;-)
