"So. Who's buying here?"

Because Darcy was too busy slumping down at the bar and trying to figure out if they had the ingredients to even make a Zombie for her in this time period to go digging for her own money.

Pippin tried to climb up on the bar stool, but he was having difficulty. This was after the bartender had nearly thrown him out because children weren't allowed in the saloon. At least he had convinced the man to take a good look at his face and see that he wasn't a mere boy.

"Not I!" he declared, finally settling himself on the stool. "I've no money to spend."

"Do any of us have money to spend? Unless the powers that be gave us a stipend, we're probably all broke." She shrugs, and proceeds to order the first thing she sees anyway. The bartender presumably just heard their whole conversation and didn't bat an eye, so Jenny figures it's a moot point.

"Drink up, boys and girls, I think we're getting a free ride tonight." And sure enough, the bartender places her requested drink down on the counter in front of her and doesn't ask for payment.

Free booze does do wonders for a mood, and Darcy wasn't about to let anything like thinking get in the way for that.

"I'm having what she's having!" She shouted out after the bartender, before redirecting her attention to the (possibly most adorable) man next to her. She had a hand reaching towards his arm before she thought better of it.

"Er- leg up?"

Peggy is one of those people who has the misfortune of wandering in. With recent events and discoveries, she finds herself in need of some really strong alcohol, enough to at least dull her senses so she could keep up the facade of being entirely calm and collected about this whole ordeal.

Being told you're from the past and being brought to an entirely new dimension right after your somewhat significant other "dies" is really tiresome, believe it or not.

She really shouldn't be surprised that the saloon is filled with people, and nor does she mind. Talking to people in person would serve as a good distraction, and even an agent like herself knows how to have fun every now and then.

"Hey!" Jenny waves across the room from the bar, greeting Peggy like she's a friend she's been expecting. "Pull up a stool, drinks are on the house!"

That greeting is a bit unexpected, but not unwelcome. She gives a quick look over her shoulder to make sure the stranger isn't addressing anyone else and, finding the area behind her empty, makes her way to the bar.

"I can't say no to hospitality."

"I figured if whoever's in charge didn't give us any money, this might not cost anything, and sure enough. I'm Jenny." She holds out a hand to shake.

It was easy for Benio to slip into the saloon unnoticed, but she was finding it hard to order a drink for herself. Being physically 10, no one would ever take her seriously enough to let her drink, and currently she's throwing a pouting tantrum at the barkeep.

"Benio wants to drink too!!"

Abel may or may not have followed her to make sure she wasn't getting in to trouble. Okay, so he did follow her, because 1800's America is a dangerous place. Especially the saloons.

"Now, Benio, don't you think you're a little young for this?"

Immediately she latched onto Abel's arm, wibbling at him with huge teary eyes. If she couldn't get a drink of her own, she'll use him to get one. After all, that strategy always works.

"Abel-san, Benio wants a drink!"

Oh dear Lord, not those puppy eyes. Anything but the puppy eyes.

"B-but Benio, you really shouldn't!"

She's a bit later, but Jack had extended the invite, and ... Well. She probably wouldn't have a lick to drink, but that didn't mean she couldn't go and scope things out. Maybe just stick to the background, watch and observe and- Well she didn't plan on making much company. Not until she can get a grasp on just what this universe is like. If it were in any danger of here .. being here.

It is kind of tempting to have a drink though. Even just one.

She should get on it, because Darcy is well on her way to disposing of all the alcohol they have. Not on her own, to be fair, since peer-pressuring anyone around her to hurry up on the shots was half the fun. Which made it little surprise when plopped a shot of whiskey before the new comer with a flourish and a grin.

"We're screwed. Drink up!"

Much as she's still all grins and politeness, she's not doing much with her proffered shot. In fact, she's even pushing it back a bit.

"None for me, thanks."

Raised eyebrow is go.

"Don't think the situation warrants a tiny shot?"

James didn't get an invite but a bar with noise, people and drink, is an instantly attractive place to visit to a Marauder. He goes on up to the bar and gets himself a whiskey and grabs a seat on a bar stool.

He'd heard tales of these places from those who came from Muggle families, there always seemed to be a bar fight involved.

"Moony," James grins, "What do you think of this stuff? It's a bit watery, I think."
