Akihiko Sanada | Trapper theimmortalson November 11 2011, 20:01:45 UTC
Akihiko Sanada awoke early as a wheel on his side of the wagon ran over a large rock, and glanced around, rightly confused - as he had fallen asleep on the grass outside of it. Briefly he wondered who might have moved him... he knew it must not have been Shinji, who would have likely left him behind to catch up had he slept in. But it didn't seem too late in the morning, as some of his wagonmates were still asleep... He would think of asking them later.

As was his morning routine, the boxer quietly did some simple stretching exercises as he surveyed the back of the wagon. It seemed like a lot of supplies at the moment, but he had little idea how long the trip would take. Would this be enough for six people?

Shortly after Franziska had her own unpleasant awakening, she noticed that she wasn't the only person who wasn't still asleep. There was a boy that she had never seen before doing some manner of training exercises, and Franziska slid over towards him, her whip tightly coiled in her hands. There wasn't enough momentum inside the wagon to whip him properly, but she made up for the lack of physical injury with the scowl on her face and the irritation clearly present in her voice.

"You!" she yelled, giving little consideration to the others who were still sleeping. "Just what is the meaning of this?!"

sorry for the suck! :( theimmortalson November 25 2011, 03:41:12 UTC
Akihiko had heard someone rouse from their sleep, but had paid no mind of it - until the angry wagonmate was suddenly behind him, a very real leather whip in her hands. Akihiko stopped at once, always taking an opponent with a weapon seriously.

"Is something wrong...?" he asked, genuinely confused. He was quieter than she was, and he didn't think he was disturbing enough to wake anyone up. He was only doing what was completely normal.

Her eyes narrowed while her hands balled into even tighter fists. Her voice somehow managed to rise in volume. "Is something wrong? Is something wrong!? I didn't fall asleep on this wagon, and thus have absolutely no reason to be waking up upon it! Obviously!"

When Franziska had first noticed that some of the wagons were starting to head off in the direction of the Trail, she had ultimately decided that she would not follow. What was the point of travelling somewhere where the conditions were harsher and unknown when she was reasonably safe here in Independence, and could wait for the game to end, to wake up from this dream, for reality to fix itself -- whatever the reason was. So, she simply went to bed in a warm, cozy inn bed the night the wagons first started leaving...but when she woke up, she was somewhere entirely differently.

The first clue she had that something was horribly wrong was that the surface she was lying on was moving, as though her bed had sprouted legs and decided to bounce, not walk, away as quickly as it possibly could. The movement caused her to jolt awake, bumping her head against a wall that she was sure hadn't been so close to her pillow before she had gone to sleep. Muttering under her breath as she rubbed the injured spot on her head, she sat properly upright ( ... )

He awakened with a massive headache which wasn't unusually for himself. The fact that the wagon was moving didn't bother him; maybe Akihiko decided it was time to go and just left him to sleep in the wagon. After buying all the supplies someone had to make sure they didn't get taken. Fucking wagon... covered his ass. The sides were still big enough for several people to hop in and steal everything.

Shinjiro scratched his head, brushing his hair back before pulling on his beanie with a grumble. Slipping on his jacket, he paused, noticing he was not alone back here. There were three(?) kids back here... were they kids? Akihiko was... okay, he wasn't driving. Where the hell was he? Trying to locate his friend only made him notice the final occupant.

... Well, shi-- wait, what was she holding?

She notices another person shuffle awake, and even though the lighting conditions inside the wagon are not at their brightest, she recognizes him, that's the frightening thing. Well, it's frightening for the barest of seconds before it simply infuriates her instead. Nostrils flaring, she regrets that there isn't enough room inside to lash out at this boy like he probably deserves, but she instead lunges at him to at least -- at least try and grab him or something before he can do anything else to her.

When she speaks, her voice is a low, angry snarl, her eyes slitted. "I should have known someone like you would have something to do with this."

He has to catch her before she grabs him and leer back at her darkly.

"Look, I didn't do shit, okay? Yea, I was sleeping in the wagon last night, but that's all. Do you really think I'd bring your ass in here on purpose?"

Their first conversation had gone all but spectacularly. She was one of those uptight girls he just found irritating. Didn't help that she seemed to be connected to the law somehow. He could only think of who might decide no person left behind... where was Akihiko?

Naoto Shirogane | Gunsmith pishirogane November 12 2011, 19:06:46 UTC
Just like several others, Naoto didn't join the wagon caravan when it headed out. Instead, she stayed at the inn, falling asleep as comfortably as one could in a bed made in the 1800s. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the greatest. She rolled over...

... and winced as she rolled into a crate. Naoto sat up slowly, rubbing her head as she took a glance around. Oh, just the back of a wagon. She lowered her hand and blinked. Wait, a wagon... Who brought her in here!? Was she kidnapped while she slept? Her eyes fell upon Kanji and Yukiko; maybe they brought her here? But then, there were three other individuals she didn't know. How was this... Maybe Yukiko said they could come along? Too many questions and not enough answers. Slowly, she rose to her feet. Just another part to the investigation. She better get to work.

"Are you alright, Naoto-kun?" Yukiko had noticed the younger girl stirring, from where she was sitting in the middle of the wagon. Her legs were folded, and she had a blanket stretched across them to ward off the chill of the day.

She had tried to stay in the town but had woken up in the wagon almost immediately, though she had decided to let the others wake up on their own rather than disturb them.

"I'm... fine. I just need to reorient myself..."

Yes, this was definitely happening. Wonderful... The splinter in her finger told her that yes, this was real, and yes, it was freezing. The small detective sighed. "Do you have any idea as to how we came to be in this wagon? I remember staying at the Inn for the evening..."

"I don't know. I went to sleep in the inn also, but as soon as I was sleeping soundly I woke up here." She shifted faintly, looking around, and finally drew out a second blanket from one of the crates, offering it out to the detective.

"Everyone else was still sleeping. I thought you'd rather put off discovering this for as long as possible, so I didn't wake you."

Kanji Tatsumi | Tailor totally_manly November 13 2011, 22:31:27 UTC
Kanji awoke feeling very stiff. He was expecting as much, really - he hadn't been able to get comfortable in the beds in the inn, and had tossed and turned for hours, worrying about how he had been brought here, what he was meant to do now, and whether his friends were okay. He'd finally fallen into a deep sleep, but now awoke sharply to the braying of a horse. It took him a second to realise why the world was rocking backwards and forwards around him: he was in one of the wagons he'd seen being loaded up yesterday.

He felt panic rise up inside him as he watched the world roll by out of the back of the wagon. Some bastard had kidnapped him, and--

But Naoto was here. Yukiko, too. Shit, they'd kidnapped them, too? At least he wasn't alone. And hopefully someone would be able to explain just what was going on.

Yes, Naoto was there and awake, huddled inside one of the blankets provided in the wagon. It's one thing to be traveling during winter, it's another thing when she doesn't have her proper jacket meant for cooler temperatures. Sure, she had her school uniform jacket, but Inaba didn't get far below zero degrees Celsius. It had to be colder than that outside.

Cutting off her thoughts about the weather, she looked over at Kanji and nodded. "Good morning, Kanji-kun."
