Airachnid preferred to travel in style. Or in this case, in air. Wheels are so...bourgeois, after all. She swooped down at the movement. Her Decepticons. She's just keeping an optic on looking after her little army.

"Knockout, I admit I'm surprised you could tear yourself away from...yourself to notice anything."

Oh, is her rotorwash kicking dust over you? What a shame.

And airframes are just gauche. Something about how common they are-- familiarity does breed contempt, after all.

He flinched as she swooped in, though, an arm going up to keep the worst of the grit out of his optics.

"Well what do you expect?" He forced a laugh. "I don't happen to see a mech-sized mirror sitting around, so I had to find something to look at."

Oh, indeed. The Nemesis is just bursting with rotaries.

Oh wait, no it's not.

"You might try, oh, I don't know, useful recon? Do you even have your tools in case one of us needs repairs? Have you scouted for energon deposits?"

As far as he's concerned, the peripherals cease to make a difference when you've known enough airframes. They all seem to have that nasty little superiority complex.

"Asking rather a lot of a mech who just woke up, aren't you?"

Breakdown had been pulling the wagon in vehicle mode throughout the night, enjoying the drag of the thing behind him and the roughness of the roads. He still had no idea where they were going or why- trusting whoever was in charge to have that figured out.

He rolled to a stop sometime around dawn to take a short break, setting his systems for light recharge. An hour or two later, upon awakening, he transformed and carefully unhitched the wagon from himself to stretch. Someone else was switching modes behind the wagon by the sound of it- probably Soundwave. Breakdown strolled around back and opened his mouth to ask the drone jet a question when--

It wasn't Soundwave. It was a very familiar red mech with a sports car alt.

"Knock Out!" he yelled, charging full force at his partner, one arm held outward to catch him by the waist and fling them both around in a gleeful circle.

It was in moments like this that Knock Out and Breakdown's partnership really showed-- because as soon as he realized who was charging him, Knock Out braced for the impact. He'd learned a long time ago that Breakdown was a bit physical in his affections, and it was far better to go with it than try to break him of the habit.

So he let the other mech scoop him off his feet and spin him around, and couldn't help grinning as it happened. Things had been a bit awkward between the two of them since Starscream had rescued Breakdown from the humans and Knock Out had needed to explain why he hadn't been involved; it was kind of nice that his partner was so excited to see him.

And nice that his partner was here.

Still, there was only so much of this a dignified mech would tolerate. "All right, all right, that's enough of that," he said after an indulgent moment, smacking Breakdown's arm. "You're going to destabilize my gyros."

The complaint was familiar, welcome even, causing Breakdown to laugh and gently set his partner back down on the grass. Despite the awkwardness that had plagued them since the incident with MECH, the bigger Decepticon couldn't help but be happy to see him. Faced with the possibility of being trapped here forever without the medic, Breakdown was more then willing to admit his relief at Knock Out's arrival.

"You're late," he chided, waving a big finger at the other mech.

The problem with Reconnaissance within a 3-5 mile range was that there was only so much to watch. By his estimates, there were over one hundred human beings present on the technologically lacking transportation of primitive Earth. He had counted approximately 5,000 incoming and outgoing signals from the small, short-range communicators, and had noted that they appeared to be fixed in to a common network on a single transmission band with no differing protocols.

By comparison, his current receptions were not even a fraction of a percent his total capacity, which was unfortunate. He had time.

He had time to think.

What he thought, was that something sounded familiar.

The next corner you round, Knockout...be prepared. Soundwave will be waiting.

Well. That's going to be a bit of a surprise. Knock Out's going to be poking around, of course, as soon as he can, though there's not much to see and most of what is there is bewildering.

This, however, isn't; it's just a shock that makes him jolt back a step, optics wide. He composes himself again in an instant, offering a smile and shaking his plating out as he straightens up.

"Ah, Soundwave. Good to see a familiar.....face."

What he detects, is humor.

Lacking a face, it is impossible for Soundwave to have a familiar one. This only seems to confirm the identity of the mech before him, however.

This is Knockout.

This brings the tally of useful Decepticons up by one, even if the current number of actual traitors presently equals the current number of potential traitors. This would be more worrying, under other circumstances.

Here, there is nothing to betray.

Knockout, however, seems to be well. A single glance confirms this, though he does spend an additional moment noting precisely how polished the other's current wax-job is. It was information. It revealed much.

However, his curiosity is not sated, and he sends out an interception ping: Ident. Current mission. Wherabouts. Provide them, immediately.

Soundwave must know when you have arrived from, to successfully compile his data.

That.

Is another car.

And it's actually a robot.

Why is all of this completely normal to Torque by now? This sort of thing is never supposed to be normal. This should still be weird and bizarre and wrong. Then again, Soundwave was the first person... or whatever... the convict met here. He got on well enough with the... robot. They didn't bother each other overly much and that was probably for the best. Gave Torque more time to explain things to Breakdown, at least.

This wasn't quite where the new guy went to sleep, huh? Well. "No shit," he says with a snort from his position in the back of the wagon.
