Daniel didn't have his watch oin, but he was pretty sure it was well past midnight. The crowd was pretty much gone. Or at least going. Vala was nowhere in sight and he'd pretty much hit his cap. I came out of the bathroom after doing the best I could to make my hair look presentable. I'd decided that perhaps the best way to get home without incident was to pull my hair apart so it hung around my neck in two ropes. Tat way it covered up the bites on my neck.

He frowned. There was something wrong with that statement involving math and he wasn't quite sure what it was. Him, Vala, a bed...no, still nothing. Oh well.

"I can't go home. I can't find my shoes," I protested. "There's snow and I'm drunk and...why are you still here?" I had to blink slowly to focus on him and once I did, I smiled.

"Daniel," I gushed. "You came for me."

"Yes, Vala. I came for you." For once, he didn't try to deny the obvious. He had been waiting for her. "Okay. What shoes are we looking for? And maybe we can find them without us both deciding the floor looks comfortable enough."
