He needed something...special to christen his ascension to Olympus; his temple was simply not complete. He admired the black marble structure, bathed in the lights of flame filled braziers and spectating golems staring down at him. It was fitting for the Lord of Death and all abominations of the underworld, but still there was something missing ( Read more... )

Persephone could, in fact, hear her husband, and smiled as she pulled her physical form together, greeted by his brooding countenance. The time was coming for her to leave him soon, and it made her wonder what had inspired him to set up house on the mountain at this juncture.

With a light step, the goddess walked up to Hades and leaned up to give him a kiss.

"I'm here, love. What are we doing up here so early?" she asked.

Hades acted as though he really weren't paying attention until he felt the lips upon his flesh and snaked a hand onto her lower back and dragged her body up against his own. His honey golden eyes glanced back up at the statue of Uranus, and he spoke to her in a silken tone.

"It was due time that I had a change of scenery. Baby steps first though.."

He turned his attention to Persephone then, and shared only a smile that he would with her before delicately kissing her brow.

"..but I will see it, Persephone. ..The world of man. It's long due past that mankind be reminded of us.."

Persephone looked at Hades, and slipped her arms around his neck, her fingers weaving into his hair.

"It's true, I think a change of scenery is good for you, Aidoneus. It's rather lovely to see you up here. Makes getting ready for spring more fun."

Her eyes closed and her smile was warm when he kissed her brow, and she looked up at him.

"Well... I guess since Dad is gone," her tone was neutral at that, "there won't be much holding you back. I doubt Ares will have too much of a problem with you being up here... unless of course his toes are getting stepped on."

Persephone didn't seem too concerned about this eventuality.

"So what do you want to do to remind them of us?"

Hades gave a delayed sigh, as though he were holding back a heavy weight on his chest that had now been lifted. His dark lashes lowered while he listened to the voice of his wife, and a hazy smile formed on his face as he pondered a fitting response. He picked her up by swiping his arm behind her knees and catching her as she fell back, walking in the direction of his temple.

"There will be much fun when spring comes, Persephone. But there are those who will not...welcome us to Olympus. Just watch your back, and know that I'm only a calling away."

He paused momentarily in front of the temple, setting his wife down on her feet and resting a hand on her hip while he stared up at it. His brother's statue nearby still laced in the ink-colored blood of Hade's destroyed demon. He considered a moment more his lovely wife's words before he answered simply.

"I'll kill them, of course."
