Of course that was where he was. He'd thrown his fits, embarrassed himself in front of everyone who mattered and a lot of people who didn't. Where else could he slink off to with his tail between his legs? Flat on his back on the roof, Junbao stared up at the sky through dark glasses. His eyes had always been good, but not good enough to make out the stars through the tinted lenses.
He'd let himself get used to having her around. He couldn't let himself get used to anything, not even the stars.

Taiwei saw him on the roof as he came closer. He stopped dead on his tracks and looked up, the sigh that escaped his mouth longer than he can ever remember.
Junbao didn't turn to look at Taiwei, who he still knew by voice alone. Instead, he pursed his lips in a sneer and forced the breath out of his nose. "Tch. The fuck do you want?"
To gloat, Junbao bet. Well, he wasn't in the mood for that shit- not that he ever was. No, any kind of provocation was likely to end in one of them getting thrown off the roof. But, the spirit thought with a bitter grin, least that would square things up with Lingling for good. Maybe that was the way to go.
