I highly recommend the book, "The Tao of Physics". It explores the links between modern physics and eastern mysticism, and shows how science seems to confirm many ideas commonly found in mystic paths (on the physical and mental plane; metaphysics of course takes over where science cannot go). I had no idea what transhumanism was, so I googled it and read up on it in Wikipedia. This was last night.
