A new year, a new survey of my past. Sorry it's late, I've been busy. (Who am I kidding, nobody reads this!)
1) Where did you begin 2008?
I was at home, I’m pretty sure. Went to sleep before the ball drop if I remember right.
2) What was your status by Valentine's Day?
Underway. I was somewhere near South America, but not quite.
3) Were you in school (anytime this year)?
Nope. Didn’t learn a damned thing.
4) How did you earn your money?
Homeland Security. They pay my bills.
5) Did you have to go to the hospital?
Nope. I got sick, but nothing crazy.
6) Did you have any encounters with the police?
Haha yeah, I got pulled over for running a red light. Got out of the ticket with my smooth talking though (sure...)
7) What did you purchase that was over $1000?
I don’t think anything. My most expensive purchase was probably my sofa, and that wasn’t even half that.
8) Did you know anybody who got married?
A few guys from work, but nobody special.
9) Did you know anyone who passed away?
Yeah, my great-grandma. I didn’t know her that well, but I did go to her funeral - a first for me.
10) Did you know anyone who had a baby?
Yeah, a guy from work.
11) Did you move anywhere?
Again, no.
12) Did you have sex?
Not to brag...
13) What concerts/shows did you go to?
Projekt Revolution, Zoso, and some others.
14) Are you registered to vote?
Yep. And I lost.
15) Where do you live now?
Same place as before. 5013 McClelland Dr #104, Wilmington, NC. Come visit sometime.
16) Describe your birthday?
I spent the day after with my brother and got trashed. We happened to be in Jax, lucky enough for me.
17) What's one thing you thought you'd never do but did in 2007?
Meet a beautiful girl that would tear my heart out on my own account.
18) What kept you sane?

19) What's something you learned about yourself?
Haha.
20) Any new additions to your family?
Don’t think so, but it’s been so long since I’ve seen my whole fam it’s hard to keep up now.
21) What was your best month?
Hm...... probably July.
22) What music will you remember 2008 by?
A lot, really. 10 Years, Zoso, Linkin Park, Atreyu, Bullet, any battle song.
23) Who has been your best drinking buddy?
Hahahahahaha... KAT.

Oh yeah. And an enemy!

27) Do you think 2009 will be better or worse?
Hopefully better, because I’m always optimistic (for some reason.)

a) happier or sadder?
That’s hard too. Right now, or a general sense of the term? Because overall, for sure, this moment, NO.
b) thinner or fatter?
Both. Lost weight and got it back when I came home.
c) richer or poorer?
The same. It’s just in credit card debt now.....
29) What did you do in 2008 that you’d never done before?
Started dating an older woman.
30) Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Still refrained from doing that.

No, just my great granny, and I didn’t know her well.

Cuba, Colombia, Grand Cayman, Bahamas.. think that’s it.
33) What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
Solidarity. A day-to-day structure and semblance.

July 12th, apparently.. I don’t remember the date for sure but it seems right. November 3rd was NIN and that was AWESOME!
35) What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting a girl too good for me.

I didn’t fail, I just did not succeed.

Just some heartache.

My sofa!

Knowing more.

The same as always. Uniform during the day, comfortable after hours.

It didn’t, but I did watch the election and admit defeat.

63) Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008:
Although I already knew it, nobody’s perfect. Life isn’t perfect. You have to work for what you really want, and if it’s worth it you’ll find yourself making an effort for it. Age is a number, but experience can’t be bought or taught, only learned. Don’t lie. Life is a bitch, but can be just as awesome as much as it sucks sometimes. You’re in it by yourself, so work with what you got but don’t let it get to you. I guess. Every day you find yourself in a new position!
