What's Czech fandom? Are you referring to Czech-based Harry Potter sites?
And I mentioned Hermione/Ron was my very first Harry Potter ship. Of course they're on this list as well.
Ahh, a fellow Good Ship Survivor! ;) Yeah, I liked Ron/Hermione, and I still really do. I was never a huge shipper (except by association due to a certain website I frequented), but I do love them together. Though I didn't like their snog in the seventh book - I just... don't like "let's make out mid-battle" tropes. I'm cynical, I guess. :P

Yep. I'm from the Czech Republic, and when I was fourteen, I couldn't speak English well enough to participate on English-speaking forums, so I stayed local among Czech and Slovak fans on Czech websites.
Incidentally I recently finished the second Doctor Who series, which makes the song sadder for me, since the cover is Rose and The Doctor. I'm into the third now, though I've already seen the last three episodes of series three, which I wish I hadn't done because I've been spoiled for Martha's character development... oh well.
Yeah, I know. The saddest song ever for Rose/Ten, though, is Doomsday. Gah! I'm just in the midst of the last three eps of series 3. I'm sorry you've been spoiled!

Can I just? When I read HP, I had no idea there was such a thing as a fandom of anything. I found fannishness as a phenomenon by accident as I was trying to find other people's thoughts (meta and stuff) on HP. And I honestly didn't realize there was a non-R/S reading of canon until that point. I was just like, "oh, Harry has gay uncles, cool." Because the way it's handled in the books is how it's handled IRL, at least IME. Nobody says "they like the boysex, your big gay uncles, they do!" It's just, Uncle A and Uncle B live together, and you get one present from both of them, and they show up and leave together at parties like every other couple and it's NBD. R/S just go together and they are my favorite couple and they love each other forever.
And also, WOOOOORRRRRD on Nina Simone.

4. I can imagine some people might find it slightly... obscure? :D But it seems to me like the HP fandom ships everyone with everyone and in that context I feel very normal with my Tonks/Ginny. *g*
