That reminds me of this book I read a lot when I was little. It was about this boy who lived on the streets who was blind in one eye and when he found out about glass eyes, he did everything he could to make enough money to get one for himself so he could look normal. I loved that book!

That sounds incredibly sweet! Yet twisted in its subject matter. I like it. Reminds me of dark stories I read as a kid in England.

It's sad that I cannot even remember the name of the book although I read it until it fell apart.
