This is (apparently) a newsletter that St. Mary's church in Colorado Springs sent out this week:

Me, by way of St. Mary

-Frequently wears black clothing.
-Associates with other people that dress, act or speak eccentrically.
-Spends large amounts of time alone.
-Requests time alone and quietness.

Am I wrong in saying that all of these are qualities that are also possessed by, um, priests? And other men of the cloth or clergy? Hm.

Here's me:

-Frequently wears black clothing.
-Wears any odd, silver jewelry or symbols. Some of these include: reversed crosses, pentagrams, pentacles, ankhs or various other Satanic worshipping symbols.
-Associates with other people that dress, act or speak eccentrically.
-Shows a declining interest in wholesome activities, such as: the Bible, prayer, church or sports.
-Drinks alcohol.
-Complains of boredom. (Note: This one would have to be my personal favorite for "Goth Signifier", because please - try "Teen signifier". "Signs your teenager may be a teenager! Read the horrific truth inside that Satan doesn't want you to know!")-Sleeps too excessively or too little
