- So Mark, with his comedic movements and faial expressions, otherwise termed as "no coordination," became glad to have found the best friends any guy could ever have.

- The name of the bar was Ridley's Tavern, and the proprietor was a man by the name of Ridley.

- Mark had been afraid of basements all his life and this basement was no exception. Something weird was happening, and Mark surely wasn't about to investigate. Quiet whispers suddenly came forth from the door. Indecipherable and quaint.

- [Todd Harris] was understanding, compassionate, confident, insightful, well-to-do, and had a lot going for him...In other words, he was a well-rounded individual...Some say that Todd was gay, but he knew otherwise.

- Though he played no sports except for tennis. (Another reason why peopl ethought he was gay.) ... Yes, he was a bit cocky. But that was what made him special and unique.

- They would repeatedly tell him that Craig and mark were nothing but bad influences, who would one day get him into serious trouble and dispel him from succeeding in life.

- He was an outstanding student in science and theory class. And his theory was: God did not exist.

- Craig moaned softly, and then stirred. His head hurt. His back hurt. his ribs hurt whenever he breathed in too deeply. His whole body hurt. His eyes rolled as consciousness began to overtake him.

- He began to wonder if he was in some kind of (danger) parking lot.

- He was in the Twilight Zone. HE was sure of it this time. Either that or he was on a different planet, whose rocky surface greatly resembled flat concrete.

- Far off into the distance, there was a tiny white speck of light. Craig's bloodshot, cold, gray eyes stared fixedly on the seemingly distant star. "Holy fuck," he muttered.

Holy fuck was right.

- "There will be a man coming," [Ridley] said. "Your job will be to simply make him take his last breath. Comprehende?"

- It didn't take much to scare Todd. And when he was, he usually cried. But not where anyone could see him. He had a certain amount of pride to uphold, being a twenty-year-old male.
