It is amazing how many choices we have to make in life. I have come to realize that I do not have any one intellegent to talk to about some of the touch stuff.

I have been thinking about your post and I wanted to say this part, which seems to be your greatest concern is, "I would have no one close to call upon in an emergency." I think this does not need to be the case. The world is full of sweet, caring people. Someone does not need to be blood kin to be FAMILY. You know what I mean. You can have as many people to call upon in an emergency as you allow into your "trusted" circle.
