My cat caught a rat, and brought it inside to play with. It carried it around, leaving a little trail of blood across the hardwood flooring. When I first saw it I thought someone had had a nosebleed. Drip, drip, drip, except instead of leading to a box of tissues, it just led to a corner. My cat had gotten tired of play eventually, and killed
